The history of Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania began in 2004 when a group of investors proposed building the casino. The state approved the license and construction began in 2005. The casino was completed in 2009 and opened on August 9, 2009 as a temporary structure. A permanent structure was built nearby and opened on September 18, 2009.

Take Exit 57 off the PA Turnpike, turn left onto E. Steuben St., and then turn right onto 27th St. After crossing the Liberty Bridge, follow signs for I-376 West. Take I-376 (Exit 69B) toward Pittsburgh and merge onto I-279 North toward downtown Pittsburgh. Exit on 7th Avenue (Exit 2B).
